Committee for a Better Jefferson (CBJ) is a membership organization of reputable persons, firms, and associations. It is a dues-driven group interested in improving Jefferson Parish and the State of Louisiana, with interests aligned with its purpose. Elected officials and candidates for office are not eligible. All members are asked to execute a conflict of interest and non-disclosure agreement. Applications may be requested, but membership is subject to the vote of the members.

Meetings may be scheduled as needed, primarily during elections or when issues of interest to members are brought forward. Outside of elections, the Committee will hold a yearly meeting to provide a financial status update, discuss issues, and plan upcoming elections and dates.
